Spring Has Sprung!

Finally! It’s really exciting to get to put away my sweaters and heavy coat. I LOVE clothes and shoes, so spring is always a fun time because it affords a fabulous array of new attire to go hunting for! I like fun, flirty, pretty stuff (yep… I a girly girl!) I especially enjoy shoes (cause they won’t fit funny when you’re a little bloated or gained a few pounds)… hmm, that reminds me, it is time to get a new pair.

This week, I attended a group that talked about how your wardrobe plays a huge part to your first impression when meeting new clients or working with customers. It got me to thinking, it is just as important to plan out what you will wear for your special upcoming events this spring and summer. It is NEVER too early to start looking around. If you are looking for the very formal, shops will be able to show you options for any season. If you are ordering online (my favorite mode of purchasing for the everyday outfit), allow plenty of time to get the item, decide you don’t care of it (or it doesn’t fit or the color is not the same as what you saw on their site!), have time to ship it back or return it and find something new. It is always better to have your outfit hanging in your closet, pressed and ready for the for that special day you’re planning for. I even use the excuse of someone else’s wedding (to which I am a guest) to get a new dress.

Happy shopping… I’m thinking that’s what I might be doing this weekend!

Bridal Fair

January 10, 2008 - Leave a Response

Oh my gosh! When I first planned to attend the 94.5 Country Bridal Fair, I thought it would never get here…. but now look, it is a mere 36 hours away. I’m not quite sure what the weekend will bring. But I know that there will be lots of brides (and their moms and their friends) attending who will meet with lots of wedding professionals. It is sure to be a time for sensory overload so going in with a plan is important.

  • What vendors are you in need of? Do a little bit of research ahead of time. Go to http://94country.com/bridalfair/vendorlist.html to see who will be there and come with questions.
  • You should also be prepared to make a deposit (s). There will be hundreds of brides there and (guess what!) you are probably not the only bride planning for the day of your wedding.
  • Where your walking shoes and comfy clothes. There are a lot of vendors that you will want to talk with and they are stationed all over the hotel. Also, come hungry! There are bakers and caterers bringing samples (that are always fabulous).
  • Have fun! In all things, remember to enjoy yourselves. Remember… planning your special day is something to be celebrated.

See you at the Bridal Fair!
